(Thousand Oaks, CA) The National Park Service and California State Parks will host a volunteer event in celebration of National Public Lands Day on September 24 from 9 am to 1 pm at Leo Carrillo and Point Mugu State Parks.

National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance America's public lands. This year's event will focus on beach cleanup as well as trail maintenance. Volunteers will be treated to refreshments and souvenirs. Meet at Leo Carrillo State Park.
