There is NO Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) event currently impacting Point Reyes National Seashore.

- Visitor Centers might be open normal operating hours, but would be without electricity.
- Campers with reservations would be able to pick up their permits at the Bear Valley Visitor Center during normal operating hours. Visit our Backcountry Camping page for instructions for picking up your permit after the visitor center closes or if you arrive during normal operating hours and the visitor center is closed.
- First-come, first-served Backcountry Camping permits may not be be available for purchase.
- Electric vehicle charging stations will not be available at the Bear Valley Visitor Center.
- Cell phone service may not be available due to the power outage.
- Park staff may not be able to update information on this website and on the park's social media platforms in a timely manner.
