Every Kid Outdoors
The Every Kid Outdoors initiative is aimed at providing an opportunity for each fourth grade student across the country to experience federal lands and water in person. Fourth graders and their family can earn their very own National Park Pass by completing one of the options below:
- Log on to the Every Kid Outdoors website to complete an online activity and earn a voucher that can be exchanged for a plastic pass at park entrance stations. http://everykidoutdoors.gov
- Have a park ranger visit your class to learn about our country’s national parks, where students will receive their passes in person. Park passes will be handed out that day.
- Bring national parks to life by hosting a park ranger in your classroom for a pre-visit to learn about Perry’s Victory. Follow up with a field trip to the park and wrap up with a final visit to your school where students explore parks across Ohio and the country. Free park passes will be distributed during the last visit.
