Warren Williams was a seasonal park ranger for Acadia National Park from 1960-1971 (with the exception of two seasons at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

In 2018, the park was lucky enough to speak with Mr. Williams and record an oral history of his memories of working at Acadia. Warren worked as a campground ranger, patrolled the East side and West side of Mount Desert Island and provided information to the public at Park Headquarters which was at that time located on Park Street in Bar Harbor. He also staffed the Beech Mountain fire tower and ran Blackwoods Campground during his last few years.

Afer studying at Hofstra University, Warren accepted an ROTC commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Ordnance and served two years in Füssen, Germany, returning home as a 1st Lieutenant. Returning home he receeived secondary degrees from Boston University and the University of Vermont, later staying in Vermont to serve 34 years as an educator. Mr. Williams was married in the park at Dorr Point and the then Park Superintendent Hubler hosted the reception at Storm Beach House.
