Petrified Forest National Park Selfie Scavenger Hunt Have you been to Petrified Forest? Prove it! Go and take a selfie and share. Petrified Forest National Park has launched a Selfie Scavenger Hunt to encourage people to visit ten areas in the park. To show off your adventure, all you have to do is take a selfie, and share it on your favorite social media sites using hashtag #PEFOSelfie. The scavenger hunt locations are: 2. Red part of the Painted Desert from any of the overlooks from Tiponi to Lacey (don't step back!) 2. Route 66 1932 Studebaker (be careful!) 3. Petroglyph at Puerco Pueblo (you may need to be flexible!) 4. Tepees (the geological features not the kitschy ones) 5. Blue Mesa (from the overlooks or on the trail) 6. Agate Bridge (in back of you, not you standing on the log!) 7. The Battleship (check your map!) 8. Old Faithful (not the one in Yellowstone!) 9. With a ranger or any of the staff (National Park Service, museum associates, or concession!) 10. Extra tough one: Onyx Bridge (this is sort of a bonus one; it is in the wilderness area) |
