Are you one of those teachers that always wanted to be a National Park Ranger? You might be able to for a summer! The Teacher-Ranger-Teacher program links national park units with teachers from under-served urban and rural school districts. Selected teachers work as park rangers, performing duties dependent on their interests and the needs of the park. Then during the school year, these teachers bring the parks into the classroom by developing and presenting curriculum-based lesson plans that draw on their summer's experience. We are currently accepting applications for summer 2010. If you are interested contact the Education Specialist! 928-524-6228 ex 264 |
