a The National Park Service assigned an identifying number to each tract of land considered for inclusion in the Manassas National Battlefield Park. These numbers are noted on property maps and were used consistently by the Park Service for land acquisition purposes. In cases where a tract of land was later subdivided and sold by the property owner before inclusion in the battlefield park, the Park Service assigned new numbers to the newly created tracts. By the 1970s, the Park Service assigned new tract numbers to the remaining property. Numbers in this table refer to the tract number used at the time the Park Service acquired the property.

b The dates listed are the date the secretary of interior accepted the tract or the date the attorney general gave the final opinion on the settlement.

c The Henry Farm was acquired from Manassas Battlefield Confederate Park, Inc., by donation.

d The Dogan House was acquired from the Prince William County Chamber of Commerce by donation.

e The New York Monuments were acquired from the state of New York by donation.

f The Park Service acquired this tract by a declaration of taking.

g In exchange for part of tract 52, valued at $15,500, the National Park Service conveyed part of tract 21, valued at $14,000, to William H. Wheeler.

h In exchange for the Stone Bridge, the National Park Service conveyed four parcels of land along Route 234, valued at $1,414, to the Commonwealth of Virginia.

i The National Park Service placed a scenic easement upon this tract.

j The National Park Service acquired this tract by donation from the surviving trustees for Groveton Cemetery for Confederate Soldiers, represented by Esther D. Terrill et al.

k In exchange for tract 02-172, the National Park Service conveyed one acre of land near the Sudley Methodist Church to Paul E. Allison et ux., with the payment of $4,000, to be used exclusively for a cemetery.

l B. Oswald Robinson retained use of his residence.

m The National Park Service acquired this tract by a legislative taking.

n The National Park Service acquired tract 02-110 from Cecil Pruitt Jr. in exchange for tract 01-225 and $4,500.

o The Conservation Fund donated tract 02-164 to the United States for the Manassas National Battlefield Park by executing a "special warranty deed of gift."
