CHANGING OF THE GUARD

Change characterized Manassas National Battlefield Park in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Changes to the surrounding countryside necessitated revising past management decisions. Suburban development with its ancillary shopping centers mushroomed around the town of Manassas as the new interstate reached completion.
