Sean Denniston, Chief of Resources Management and Interpretation at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, began duties Monday as Oregon Caves National Monument's acting superintendent while Superintendent Vicki Snitzler is away on a detail as acting superintendent at Crater Lake National Park. "I look forward to meeting the park's partners and getting to know the community in Cave Junction," said Sean, "and working with my new friends on the staff at the Oregon Caves National Monument." Sean's acting assignment is expected to last through winter and into mid-Spring, most likely ending in late April and early May. |
