The footbridge over Kestner Creek along the Kestner Homestead Loop in the Quinault Rain Forest will be closed from June 5 to June 23, 2023, for repairs. The existing decking has substantial rot and must be replaced to ensure visitor safety when crossing.

Due to this closure, it will not be possible to complete the Kestner Homestead Loop. This 2-mile loop starts at the Quinault Rain Forest Ranger Station and travels through beautiful temperate rain forest. Visitors can still walk portions of the trail but cannot fully complete the loop. See the map for details.

The Quinault Rain Forest is in the southwestern portion of the park. For more information on the area, click here: Visiting Quinault
