Pioneer Fire Level 2 Evacuation for Stehekin

Sedro Woolley, WA – Effective today at 8 am, a Level 2 Evacuation notice for the Stehekin Community, from Hazard Creek through the Stehekin Valley, including the Stehekin landing west to High Bridge has been issued by the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Management in coordination with Northwest Incident Management Team 3. A Level 2 Evacuation alerts residents and visitors there is danger from a wildfire in the area. For more information on evacuation levels visit the Chelan County Emergency Management Active Emergencies webpage.

The North Cascades Lodge at Stehekin is closed. Visitors are prohibited from coming to Stehekin by both foot and ferry. Visitors currently in Stehekin will be evacuated from the area to make space for safe and effective wildfire operations.

There are additional area, trail, front and backcountry campground, and cross-country zone closures. Park closure information can be found on the park’s Fire Closures page.
