Glen Jean, West Virginia—The Youth Arts in the Parks 2016 Appalachian Spring Wildflower Arts Contest entry deadline is finally here. Local youth artists in grades K –12 from Fayette, Nicholas, Raleigh, and Summers Counties can turn in their art entries to one of six contest art receiving stations betweenFebruary 1 –7, 2016. Entries by mail will not be accepted. Remember to follow allcontest rules, use the contest entry form, and create art inspired by a wildflower from the contest species list. These details are available online at https://www.nps.gov/neri/youth-arts-in-the-parks.htm. No entries will be accepted after the February 7, 2016 deadline. All participants will be notified of contest winners by mid-March 2016. Contest winners will receive art awards at a ceremony in April, plus have their works showcased in an April 2016 art exhibit at Tamarack in Beckley and online.
