No entrance pass required

An entrance pass is not required to access New River Gorge National Park & Preserve.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

Entrance Passes are not available at New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, since the park does not charge entrance fees. Passes can be purchased online through the NPS website at https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm Visitors can also purchase passes in person from Army Corps of Engineers at nearby Summersville Lake: https://www.lrh.usace.army.mil/Media/News-Releases/Article/2566988/federal-pass-program-for-recreation/
New River Gorge National Park and Preserve does not charge an entrance fee.

2025 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

There is NO FEE to enter New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. Enjoy your visit!

Since this is a free park, park passes, senior passes, and access passes are not available for purchase here.
