Permits & Reservations

• School groups who would like to plan a field trip to Nez Perce National Historical Park need to make a reservation prior to their visit. To make a reservation and plan the field trip with park rangers call 208-843-7001.
• Special Use Permits to use the picnic area are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Permits do not provide exclusive access to any part of the picnic area. A permit is required for groups of 25 or more. A permit is also required for special uses, such as weddings, reunions, etc. There is no application fee for these permits.
• Permitted activities will have precedence over non-permitted activities.
• Filming and still photography inquiries should refer to the Special Use Permits page for further information.
• The National Park Service requires specific authorizations for commercial businesses to operate in national parks, usually in the form of a Commercial Use Authorization. Interested businesses can apply for an authorization by submitting an application and a $300 non-refundable application fee.
