Corson MakerSpace

Wide view of the new Corson MakerSpace room

The Corson MakerSpace at New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park celebrated its grand opening in September 2017, and for the past two years has served as a creative and collaborative space, as well as a hub for new ideas. Our Artist-in-Residence studio is located inside the Corson MakerSpace, encouraging active art practice to intersect with our national park visitors in an informal, organic setting.

This innovative space celebrates previously untold stories of New Bedford's rich cultural history and is a unique space among National Parks.
