No entrance pass required
An entrance pass is not required to access New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money. New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park is an urban national park and is fee-free. There is no cost to visit the Visitor Center or walk through the historic downtown area. However, some partner sites and local businesses located within the park may charge their own entrance fees. Please check directly with those locations for current pricing and hours.

PassesWhile New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park does not sell America the Beautiful passes, we do carry a limited selection of free passes for eligible visitors. You can pick up the following passes at the Visitor Center:
