Muir Woods is open 365 days a year, and no reservations are required.

Entrance Fees

$7.00-Adult (16 years of age and older)

Free-Children (15 years of age and under)

On January 1, 2016, the entrance fee will increase to $10 for adults, children under 16 remain free of charge.

Annual and Lifetime Passes

These passes admit the passholder and three adults.

Muir Woods Annual Pass: $20
Valid for 12 months from purchase date.
(Fee increases to $40 beginning January 1, 2016)

Interagency Annual Pass: $80
Valid for 12 months from purchase date.

Interagency Annual - Military Pass: $0
This is a free pass for active duty military personnel and their dependents, with valid documentation (CAC card or DD form 1173).

Interagency Annual Volunteer Pass: $0
This pass is for volunteers acquiring 250 service hours on a cumulative basis. Learn about volunteer opportunities in Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Access Pass: $0
Valid for life. This is a lifetime pass for U.S. Citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities.

Senior Pass: $10
This is a lifetime pass for U.S. Citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.

Muir Woods joins national parks across the country in waiting the entrance fee on special days.

Free in 2015:

January 19 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day
February 14-16 - Presidents' Day Weekend
April 18-19 - First Weekend of National Park Week
August 25 - National Park Service Birthday
September 26 - National Public Lands Day
November 11 - Veterans Day

Fee waiver includes: entrance fee and commercial tour fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included, unless otherwise stated.
