treatment. Conservators examine objects under different kinds of light
(visible, ultraviolet, raking) illuminating different kinds of
deterioration.![]() CONSERVATOR'S DESCRIPTION Primary Support: The letter is on hand-laid paper of cotton fiber. The typed description is on machine-made paper with a partial watermark: "CLEHAM... SHIRE BOND." Media: The letter and typed description are attached to glass with several spots of glue. The glue appears water soluble. There may be two applications of glue.
