This box contains a letter signed by Abraham Lincoln from the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial. 

Originally, the letter and a typed description were sandwiched between two panes of glass. The doors were held closed by Lincoln head pennies. The documents were removed from the box to be examined and treated by NPS conservators.
