Many of the objects that conservators care for will go on exhibit. At the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park you can see clothing worn by President and Mrs. Johnson as part of a display in the Visitor Center. To limit deterioration of objects on display, conservators make specialized mounts out of stable materials. The mounts support the objects so they don't distort over time. Conservators also recommend on-going maintenance and regulate light, temperature, and humidity levels to minimize damage.
