Items of cultural significance may appear during your river explorations. The National Park Services seeks help from its residents and visitors to remind others that collecting of cultural artifacts is prohibited by federal law.

Missouri National Recreational River Tourism Creates $6,105,300 in Local Economic Benefit
A National Park Service report shows that 145,004 visitors to the Missouri National Recreational River in 2015 spent $6,105,300 in communities near the park. That spending supported 97 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $7,089,900.
