During the summer season, we seek college students, professionals, and other qualified individuals to fill our Biological Science Technician and Park Ranger and Park Guide positions. For the Year 2022, the Missouri National Recreational River may be hiring the following seasonal positions:

  • Biological Science Technician (GS-05 / $16.27/hr)
    Job duties include assisting with research projects, habitat restoration, and maintenance of park property and facilities.
  • Park Ranger - Interpretation (GS-05 / $16.27/hr)
    Job duties include developing and presenting education programs for the classroom and various audiences, presenting talks, guided tours and demonstrations, co-leads and supervises seasonal interp staff and creating publications.
  • Park Guide (GS-04 / $14.56/hr)
    Job duties include talking to people and provide information, develop and present guided walks and programs encompassing the park’s natural and cultural history, assist in river paddle trips and kayak clinics, staff visitor contact areas, and complete projects as assigned.
  • Park Guide (GS-03 / $12.97/hr)
    Job duties include talking to people and provide information, assist in guided walks and program encompassing the park's natural and cultural history, assist in river paddle trips and kayak clinics, and staff visitor contact areas.
  • Student Trainee Park Guide (GS-03 / $12.97/hr)
    Job duties include talking to people and provide information, assist in guided walks and programs encompassing the park’s natural and cultural history, assist in river paddle trips and kayak clinics, and staff visitor contact areas. These positions are open only to current students and individuals accepted for enrollment in a qualifying educational program or school.
