Four Corners Lecture Series, "Talk to Your Ancestors"

William Winkler will present “Talk to Your Ancestors” on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 7:00 pm at the Cortez Public Library, Cortez, Colorado. Discover the many things your ancestors can teach you, as William explains the importance of family ties and learning from the past. This program is part of the 2019 Four Corner Lecture Series and is free and open to the public.

William Winkler worked at Mesa Verde National Park from 1946 to 1953. Beginning in 1954, he was general manager and president of the Mesa Verde Company for 30 years. A Colorado native, William grew up in Englewood and attended college at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, earning a Bachelor of Science in Forest Resources Management. He now lives in Cortez with Merrie, his wife of 70 years.

The Four Corners Lecture Series features presentations about the archaeology, current Native American cultures, history, and natural resources of this spectacular area. All programs are free and open to the public.
