Internships

Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site offers internship opportunities for college or graduate level students.

Duties include running the visitor center, presenting talks or tours, and making sales in the bookstores. Opportunities exist to do historical research with the park historian and curatorial work with the park curator. Interns will also work with school groups to present educational programs.

Volunteer
The Volunteer Program at Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site is always seeking enthusiastic and diverse volunteers wishing to share their talents to fulfill our mission. Volunteers perform a variety of jobs, encompassing virtually every aspect of park operations giving them hands-on experience working with the public, park staff, and park resources.
