First Annual Peak to Peak hike in Woodstock Vermont 2012

The 1st annual Peak to Peak hike will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012.
Starting at the Green you and your family can hike with guide or own your
own to the top of Mount Tom, Mount Peg or both. Guided walks leave at
10:30am and 12pm and include historical interpretation and activities for
kids. At the Green engage with local organizations about hiking, healthy
living, history and nature. Registration begins at 10 am and picnic lunches
will be available for sale from 11am to 1 pm. The first 100 to hike to both
peaks will win a free lunch bag. This fall hike is a chance for those of all ages
to appreciate one of Woodstock's greatest resources‐ its trails. Trails that can
be a means to a healthy lifestyle, and a window to unique history and
astonishing beauty.

Mt Peg Walk: a gentle walk rich with history and great views, departing 10:30 and 12:00 EASY! 1.5 miles

Mt Tom Hike: hike the historic Faulkner Trail to South Peak for a panoramic view of the Ottauquechee valley,
departing at 10:30 and 12:00. MODERATE! 3.5 miles

Peak to Peak Adventure: summit both Mt Peg and Mt Tom stopping at the Green for lunch, departing 10:30 HEARTY! 5 miles
