The National Park Service (NPS) announces a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) for the adaptive re-use of the Henson Robinson House (1,986 square feet). The RFEI allows interested parties an opportunity to view the property, facilities, and park area and to submit their concept(s) of potential future use of the facilities, taking into account the park’s purpose and building’s significance. The NPS may choose all or part of the content of one or more responses to the RFEI for further consideration and possible development into a public solicitation that the NPS then would advertise to the public, involving all qualified candidates to submit proposals for the operation.
The Henson Robinson House, situated in downtown Springfield, Illinois, is part of the neighborhood landscape where Abraham Lincoln lived before becoming the 16th President. The house is managed as part of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site (NHS), a unit of the NPS. The Robinson House is currently leased to another Federal agency but will soon be available for adaptive reuse.

Site visits for interested parties runs from August 5, 2022 through September 30, 2022 with proposals to be received by the Park no later than November 3, 2022.
