Lincoln Home Hosts Road Scholar for Black History Month

Road Scholar Mary Frances will present “Untold African American Stories” at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site Visitor Center on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. to commemorate Black History Month as part of the Illinois Humanities 2023-2024 Road Scholars Speakers Bureau program.

This 30-minute presentation consists of historical stories and images followed by a 30-minute discussion.

Frances has been a college instructor for 20 years and has been a member of the Springfield, Illinois community for 34 years. Frances’ current focus is on untold African American stories, and has recently released her first book, African Americans in Springfield.
