Road Scholar Mary Frances will present “Untold African American Stories” at the Lincoln Home National Historic Site Visitor Center on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. to commemorate Black History Month as part of the Illinois Humanities 2023-2024 Road Scholars Speakers Bureau program.This 30-minute presentation consists of historical stories and images followed by a 30-minute discussion.
Frances has been a college instructor for 20 years and has been a member of the Springfield, Illinois community for 34 years. Frances’ current focus is on untold African American stories, and has recently released her first book, African Americans in Springfield.
