Lincoln Home National Historic Site Presents "Reading with a Park Ranger" Summer Programs

SPRINGFIELD, IL: Lincoln Home National Historic Site will partner with the Lincoln Library, Springfield's Public Library, to present reading programs during the Summer of 2023 as part of the City of Springfield's History Comes Alive season.

Beginning on June 3, join National Park rangers in the Lincoln Home neighborhood for Reading with a Park Ranger. Visitors can listen to a park ranger read a picture book and then participate in a related activity or craft connected to the book's themes. Themes will include the Lincoln family, the environment, new and old classics, democracy, and much more.

Reading with a Park Ranger will take place in the Walters Lot, at the corner of 8th Street and Capitol Avenue, on Sundays and Tuesdays at 10:00 AM and Saturdays at 2:00 PM. Lincoln Library summer reading programs will also take place once a week on Thursdays at 10:30 AM.
