On Saturday, May 27, from 10:00am-5:00pm, the public is invited to participate in the Union Army Recruitment camp recreated by the 114th Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry Reactivated in the Lincoln Neighborhood.
Throughout the day the 114th Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry Reactivated will present informal programs, such as drills that children can participate in, at their soldier recruitment camp. The public is welcome to talk with these soldiers about their lives and experiences during the Civil War. The camp will be located in the lot across the street from the Lincoln Home on the corner of Eighth and Jackson Streets.
