News Release Date: June 20, 2024

The visitor center, bookstore and visitor services will be closed on June 26 and 27 as staff move the visitor services and bookstore to the temporary visitor center trailer. Services are being moved ahead of the destruction of the old visitor center in preparation of the new visitor center construction. Visitor Center services and bookstore will be housed in the temporary trailer until the new building is completed. Staff anticipates the new trailer will be open on June 28th, regular summer hours, 9AM to 5 PM. However, weather, or other unforeseen obstacles could delay the opening. The tour road and Custer National Cemetery will remain open during this time.

The construction start date is still to be determined.
