Recovery of Missing Person’s Body At Lake Meredith

An investigation is underway regarding the recovery of a body identified as that of 42 year old Jeremy Mills of Fritch Texas.

Borger dispatch received a report of a possible missing person Friday evening. Mills was last seen Friday around 4:30 a.m. near the Stilling Basin at Lake Meredith National Recreation Area. Park Rangers initiated the search Friday evening. As the search area was increased Saturday, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) officers, Fritch PD, Hutchinson and Moore County Sheriff’s Offices assisted in the search efforts. Sunday afternoon, TPWD brought in a canine unit to assist.

Park rangers recovered Mills body Monday evening in the South Canyon area of Lake Meredith. The body was transported to the medical examiner’s office in Lubbock where an autopsy will be conducted.
