Thirteen kids had a great time at Kids' Camp on Tuesday. The five-hour camp was fun-filled with many activities. They participated in traditional games played in the Hidatsa villages. They learned about biodiversity, native and invasive plant species, and played prairie tag. This game of tag taught the campers about an important compenent of Knife River Indian Villages National Historic Site, prairie restoration. Campers also went on a scavenger hunt and made their own bull boat craft. Thank you to the Knife River Indian Heritage Foundation for providing snacks and lunch. If you missed camp in July, there is still one more opportunity! Our next Kids' Camp Day is August 13th. Please contact the park to register your kids ages 6-12. We hope to see you there!
