CALUMET, MICH – Keweenaw National Historical Park is pleased to announce continued visitor center hours into spring of 2022. The Calumet Visitor Center will be open on Fridays and Saturdays, 10 am to 3 pm, beginning October 22, 2021.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome winter visitors to the Calumet Visitor Center this year,” park Superintendent Wyndeth Davis said. “It's a great place to explore and learn about the history of Copper Country with friends and family.”
During Calumet Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 23, the Calumet Visitor Center will have extended hours from 10 am to 7 pm. Stop by for some treats or to participate in the event scavenger hunt. The Park Store operated by the Isle Royale & Keweenaw Parks Association will be open during this event.
The Calumet Visitor Center will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Masks are required for everyone, regardless of location or vaccination status, in all NPS buildings, crowded outdoor spaces, and all forms of enclosed public transportation.
