Temporary Closure of Parking Lots within Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park

Kennesaw, GA– Various parking lots will be closed as a result of an ongoing paving project. The updated schedule is for the days of May 1 and 2. 

Wednesday, May 1
Temporary closures of Burnt Hickory Parking Lot and Cheatham Hill Road Parking Lot (near Recreation Area #3)

Thursday, May 2
Full day closure of Illinois Monument Parking Lot and Cheatham Hill Dr. 


Preserving roads and parking areas are critical in maintaining park access and visitor enjoyment. Please note that inclement weather may delay closures or re-opening of certain areas. Visitors are highly encouraged to check the park website and social media for updated information. Forquestions or further information, please call 770-427-4686.
