Kennesaw Mountain News Release

The Establishment of the Friends of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park
Kennesaw, GA – Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park now has a non-profit organization, the Friends of Kennesaw Mountain, to aid its efforts towards visitor services and visitor satisfaction. The agreement between the park and the organization was recently finalized and signed. The Friends of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (Friends of KMNBP) has as its mission to raise funds to support programs and projects at the park. The group’s long term goal is to establish endowments to provide perpetual sources of funding for the programs that may include: hiking/equestrian trail improvements and maintenance, museum improvements and expansion, living history demonstrations, additional parking and restrooms, guest speakers, and more. Rack cards with information about the Friends of KMNBP are available at the park’s kiosks (at all major parking lots within the park). The rack cards feature a QR code which takes you directly to the organization’s website.

The Friends of KMNBP are a 501c3 tax deductible organization, offering annual memberships at all levels for those wishing to donate. 100% of all funds received are put to use for and at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.
