Civic Engagement Meeting for Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park Proposals Being Postponed Due to Weather
Kennesaw, GA – Due to anticipated high winds and rain from Hurricane Irma, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park has decided to postpone the civic engagement meeting scheduled for September 12. Says Superintendent Nancy Walther, “We would like to hear from as many in the community as possible concerning our proposals to close down the mountain road to motorized vehicles and to begin operations as a fee park. With the forecasted severe inclement weather, we are postponing our meeting to allow for greater attendance at a later date.”
A reschedule date has been set for Tuesday, September 19 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, and will be held at the Marietta High School Performing Arts Center (1171 Whitlock Rd, Marietta).
