Aircraft Accident on Beach of Aialik Glacier

On June 26, 2023, Kenai Fjords National Park was contacted by the Alaska State Troopers. They reported that a single engine aircraft had a rough landing, disabling the aircraft, near the southwest side beach of Aialik Glacier. There have been no injuries reported at this time. Kenai Fjords National Park is working with the owner of the aircraft to remove the plane from the beach.
