With the recent rain and the resulting reduction in fire danger on the Kenai Peninsula, effective immediately all campfire and fire restrictions for Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, Kenai Fjords National Park, and Chugach National Forest lands on the Kenai Peninsula are lifted. Although fire danger has decreased over much of the Kenai Peninsula, residents and visitors are urged to continue to use caution with campfires. For statewide fire information, visit the AICC website at https://fire.ak.blm.gov/ or http://www.akfireinfo.com.
