The second half of the Path of the Flood hike will be held on Sunday, August 27 at 10:00 am. This hike starts at Franklin and ends at the Stone Bridge. Distance is 4-5 miles in length over flat terrain. Reservations are required. There is limited space due to shuttling. Reservations can be made by calling the Visitor Center at 814-886-6171.Visitors meet at the Johnstown Flood National Memorial Visitor Center and are shuttled to Franklin. From there, participants will hike through various towns to learn about the Johnstown Flood from East Conemaugh to the Stone Bridge. At the conclusion of the tour, a shuttle will bring hikers back to the Visitor Center.
This hike is designed to begin where the Path of the Flood Hike, Part I ends, but participation in that hike is not necessary for Path of the Flood Hike, Part II.
