Both Journey Around Lake Conemaugh and Path of the Flood Park Ranger led Van Tours are popular in the summer months.

The South Fork Dam failed on Friday, May 31, 1889, causing the Great Johnstown Flood. The link will take you to a page with a detailed chronology of the dam.

Hearing it from the people who actually lived it is one of the best ways to learn about the Johnstown Flood.
