Paint the Parks Speaker Series

Artists Brent Langley and J. Rodney Reveal will talk about
their work. Both artists earned a place in the annual Paint the Parks Top 100, one of the most prestigious art competitions in the United States.
Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, which includes the Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse, is one of the units of the National Park Service, and has been pleased to display the "Top 100" for nearly all of its 24-year existence.

Paint the Parks is an annual juried competition of paintings submitted by professional and amateur artists. The 100 paintings that best convey the essence of the landscape, wildlife, and history of our "National Parks" are honored by inclusion in the traveling   show, which will be on display at the Old Courthouse through January 9, 2011.     

Saturday November 20, 2010 2:00 p.m.
Arcadia, IN native J. Rodney Reveal's paintings, "Saguaro View" Saguaro National Park) and "Crosses of Conception" (San Antonio National Historic Park), have earned a place in the annual Paint the Parks Top 100. Mr. Reveal will be giving a talk about his paintings and the Paint the Parks competition as part of the Paint the Parks Artist Speakers' Series.


Sunday, December 12, 2:00 p.m.
Coal Valley, IL native Brent Langley's painting, "Horus the Falcon God" (Arches National Park), has earned a place in the annual Paint the Parks Top 100. Mr. Langley will be giving a talk about his paintings and the Paint the Parks competition as the Paint the Parks Artist Speakers' Series.

The Old Courthouse is FREE and open to the public from
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily.
