Glenn Freeman (Artist-in-Residence, 2010)

About the Artist*

Glenn Freeman was an Isle Royale Artist-in-Residence from July 6th to July 21st, 2010. He has also been awarded residencies at Rocky Mountain National Park and the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness. He holds a B.A. in English and Education from Goddard College, a MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College, and a PhD in English from the University of Florida. He has published three books of poems (Traveling Light, Keeping the Tigers Behind Us, and Fading Proofs) and over 50 individual poems in journals. He lives with his wife and two cats in Mount Vernon, Iowa, where he is a poet and professor of English at Cornell College.
