Good morning. I'm Deborah Carroll. I'm with the organization called the Friends of the Fordyce and Hot Springs National Park, Incorporated. We are the friends organization that raises funds for our Hot Springs National Park. I'm standing in front of the Fordyce Bathhouse; it opened in 1915 and then it closed in the 1960s. This is a bathhouse they decided was one of the most beautiful bathhouses in the national park on Bathhouse Row and it became the Hot Springs National Park Visitor Center. When our organization started 20 years ago, our main mission was to do things to help get this facility opened. We've had people come and give tours and wear period costume. We have people come for special events and tell people about the Hot Springs National Park. One of the other things that we've done as our organization, is the Maurice Bathhouse that is right next door to this bathhouse, has stained glass windows that were in the very top of the building, and what we did was we restored, we had an expert restore the very beautiful, intense stained glass. The Friends of the Fordyce have also helped furnish period costuming, period furniture, and all kinds of items in the Fordyce visitor center. One of the other things that we do as an organization is we fund to have booklets printed for like the Junior Ranger program for the school age kids to be part of the Hot Springs National Park. We want to encourage everyone that if you want to participate in the Friends of the Fordyce, and be invited to all the events that we have throughout the year, all you have to do is become a member. You can go on our website at the friendsofthefordyce.com, or you can come here to the Fordyce visitor center and they can give you information on becoming a member. I really encourage all of you if you want to be a part of the Hot Springs National Park to join this organization. Thank you very much.
