intern

Hot Springs National Park is recruiting for several paid internship positions for the summer of 2017 within the natural resources management program. Internship application periods are open now. Please share these opportunities with individuals who may be interested, and with anyone who may know of eligible candidates.

Biology

Interested in mammals, acoustics, and/or threatened and endangered species? The intern selected for this position will be a part of the acoustic monitoring team to inform park managers about the status of bats within its boundaries.

Learn more and apply for the position.
Deadline for applications is January 31, 2017.

Maybe you like plants more than animals or water? If so, the invasive vegetation management internship might be the perfect fit for you.

Learn more and apply for the position.
Deadline for applications is February 29, 2017.

(You need not be a member of the Geological Society of America (GSA) to apply, as this is not a physical science position. Contact Matthew Dawson (mdawson@geosociety.org) at the GSA for details on how to obtain login information to apply if you are not a GSA member.)

Geology

If water quality and other geothermal hydrogeology questions interest you more than bioacoustics, we have an internship position for that, too.

Deadline for applications is February 29, 2017. (To apply, you must be a member or student-member of the Geological Society of America.) [Link for job to be added ASAP].
