Junior Ranger Day April 16, 2011

April 16, 2011

For children interested in participating in an activity and receiving a special gift prior to the Flumpa® and Friends Live! performances, join the park ranger at the entrance of the Fordyce Bathhouse and participate in a Bathhouse Row and Grand Promenade cleanup from 9 to 10 a.m.

Flumpa® and Friends Live! will present three shows on the Arlington Lawn area of the park:
10 a.m. Flumpa® the famous Tree Frog
11 a.m. Water
Noon Earth Science

There will be a meet and greet after each performance. Perfect for ages 2-12, this is an entertaining, educational musical show that's fun for the entire family. It has been recognized nationally for their innovative method of presenting science through original award winning music and movement.

After each show, join a park ranger for fun activities: 10:30, 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m.

At 1:30, come for a hike for the first ever Junior Trail Ranger program at Hot Springs National Park. Meet at the Arlington Lawn. You can hike with a ranger to the top of Hot Springs Mountain and complete the first of several activities needed to become a Junior Trail Ranger and earn the award.
