Singenden Wanderer German Men’s Choir to Perform at Homestead National Monument of America’s Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures
Singenden Wanderer German Men’s choir will perform at the Homestead Education center on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 2:00p.m. as part of the Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures. This unique performance will give a glimpse into the music culture brought to the plains by German immigrants. The group will sing both in German and in English. They have a lively repertoire of music and get the audience involved.
The Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures features decorated trees and tabletop displays featuring ornaments and hand-made crafts that reflect the spirit of hope, humor, traditions, and generosity which characterized settlers of the West. Cultures represented include Czech, French, German, Hispanic, Irish, Polish, Scottish, Swedish, and Welsh.
“Singenden Wanderer provides a fun musical act that both entertains and educates.” said Superintendent Mark Engler.

Homestead National Monument of America is a unit of the National Park Service located four miles west of Beatrice, Nebraska. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday, and 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on weekends. The park buildings will be closed on November 22, December 25, and January 1.
