Interactive demonstrations will be led by Park Rangers and volunteers at Homestead National Monument of America. Hands on activities include: cornhusk dolls, a quilt-square craft, candle dipping, and butter churning! The event will also feature demonstrations of traditional trades; including rag rug braiding, Dutch-oven cooking, lace making, wood working, and more.
In addition to hands-on living history activities; two special presentations will be made;

- 1 p.m. Nolan Sump will present on the Homesteading Experience.
Superintendent Mark Engler remarked that “The Living History Extravaganza will be a fun family activity. It will allow our guests to participate in historically relevant activities”.
