Homestead National Historical Park kicks off Fall Campfire Series in September BEATRICE, Neb. – Join Homestead National Historical Park for our Fall Campfire Series throughout the month of September. These programs are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 16, and 30. September 9 – “With Liberty and Justice for All” – The story of Black Homesteaders. September 16 – “Games and Activities of the Nighttime Homestead” – The history of homesteader activities. September 30 – “Who Goes There?” – Ranger-led hike to listen for owls. These campfire programs will be held at the fire pit behind the Education Center. Folding chairs will be available to guests, but we welcome lawn chairs and blankets as well. Insect repellant and water are highly recommended. As always, admission to the park and to all park events is free. Remember, Homestead National Historical Park has an exciting schedule of events planned for 2023.
