Support Your Park

Volunteers can be involved in special events, living history, natural resource projects, and much more.

Volunteers are an integral part of the park. You can work with school children, preserve the tall grass prairie, conduct water quality monitoring, research topics, assist with special events as well as light maintenance duties and clerical projects. There are many ways to participate in the volunteer program. Opportunities range from one time activities to long term projects.

Become an Artist-in-Residence

This is an opportunity to share their inspiration and talent with visitors, live and work at the monument, and interpret the park's natural and cultural resources through their unique creative vision. For more information about this program, click the above link or contact Ranger Molly Watters.
