$18.96/hour | Housing Available
Some postions start in April and others start in May. All positions last through late September.

Join our team to inspire curiosity and connect people to their environement. This is an opportunity to work alongside park rangers and grow your career in the National Park Service.You will lead hikes, work in a visitor center, and grow your skills in public speaking. This summer, get to know the Tetons by working and playing in the national park.

Applicants should have an enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with others and the ability to work with others in a fast paced environment.

 

As a Grand Teton Interpretive Associate, you will:

  • Participate in a multi-day National Park Service interpreter skills training.
  • Work as part of a diverse, inclusive, and supportive team.
  • Provide visitors with information and orientation in a variety of settings including visitor centers, contact stations, parking areas, and while roving trials.
  • Develop and present a variety of in-depth ranger programs that help interpret the park’s resources and stories to a diverse visiting public.
  • Work 9-hour days and alternate between a 4 and 5 day work week. Associates should expect to work weekends and most holidays.
  • Earn $18.96/hr
  • Government housing is provided with a rent deduction from pay.

These are seasonal positions that are expected to begin in early April or Mid-May. The planned end date for all positions is September 30th. Some positions may have an option to extend into October. Applicants must be available Mid-May through September 30th to be considered for a position.

  • A detailed resume listing work experience, related hobbies, and education. Include names and contact information for current and former supervisors

  • College students or recent graduates should also include a college transcript
